Howdy and welcome to Pursuit Physical Therapy, I'm Dr. Cassie Thompson! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2010 and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2012. I am an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Crossfit Level 1 Coach, and am certified in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete. I've been treating patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries for more than a decade and am confident that I can help you get achieve your health and wellness goals too!

I am a proud wife and mother of two beautiful children. My family and I live in Flower Mound and love hiking, biking, playing sports, and spending time with friends and family. I understand the importance of being able to participate and pursue hobbies and interests and it is my mission to start a practice where I can guide people back to theirs.

My one-on-one approach offers my clients the personal attention they need and deserve. With customized plans that are specific to your injuries and goals, I'm here to help you get back to whatever you're pursuing!

My vision

My goal in starting Pursuit Physical Therapy is to create a truly client-centric rehabilitation environment where I walk side by side with you to bridge the gap between injury and rehab as you return to your health and wellness pursuits.


I provide individualized care plans, focusing on full body movement and skill, that mirror or replicate the exact activity that you want to return to. Whether you you're active at home, at a gym, in the pool, or on the course or court, I have the skills and expertise to help guide you through the aches and pains.


Whether you're a lifelong athlete with years of fitness experience or you're looking to add fitness into your routine but have never participated before, there is help for you here. I will always spend the time to help eliminate your pain and empower you and teach you ways to help prevent it from returning. I truly believe that MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE and harnessing the most appropriate type of movement can help you reach your goals.

what you can expect

Creation of goals that are meaningful and specific to YOU. These goals will not be dictated by insurance plans or doctors. I listen to your concerns and work with you to find measurable goals that will help motivate you during the recovery process.

An individualized plan for home exercises that is simple to follow and updated throughout your recovery. Check-ins as needed with me to answer any and all questions along the way.

Clear and concise education about your injury, the rehabilitation journey, and performance to keep you active THROUGH your recovery. I give you a road map to navigate your activity in a way that eliminates isolation time away from your friends, family, teammates, or training partners and allows you to remain active and smart in your healing and recovery.
